Draupadi stands in front of Drupad and tries to touch his feet, but he leaves without attaching any importance to her. The yagya fire erupts into the sky and Draupadi is born. Drupad laughs and mocks the Gods, he believes that such a daughter will be impossible to beget. He asks the Gods to provide his daughter all impurities in the world, yet make her pure. Drupad, in anger, asks the Gods for a daughter who will face a life time of hard ship and sadness. Drupad turns to leave, and the yagya fire incircles him. The rishis try to reason with hi, but in vain. In Panchal, Drupad begins the ceremony for begetting a son, and his son Dhristadyumna is born.After the birth of his son, Drupad tells the rishis that he doesn’t want a daughter. They tell the Pandavas that Drupad is obsessed with getting a son who can kill Dronacharya and defeat the Pandavas. Meanwhile, Kunti threatens Duryodhan that she will bring Krishnas army to Hastinapur and make the Pandavas independent. The Pandavas, on the other hand, despite all hard ships in the jungle, try to be happy together and try to make the most out of their life.The Pandavas meet some haggled rishis in the jungle who tell them that they had been tortured by Drupad. However, Draupadi remains covered with clothes by Krishnas grace. Only if Drupad accepts the girl child, can he be blessed with a boy. Rishi Yaaj and Upyaaj tell Drupad that they will perform such a yagya, but in Drupad’s fate, there is only a girl child. In Panchal, many rishis are being tortured by Drupad because they are unable to perform a yagya to beget him a son. Krishna states that very soon a historic event will happen in Panchal and to witness it, he must go to Panchal. The Pandavas emerge from a cave and it is revealed that they are alive.Rukmini expresses her disappointment and sadness over the death of the Pandavas, and Krishna hints that the Pandavas may be alive.

Bheeshm visits the Ganges to immerse the last remains of the Pandavas where Vidur meets him and tells him that he had sent a message across to the Pandavas in the nick of time so they cannot die so easily. Shakuni and Duryodhana celebrate their victory, but Karna is unable to express his happiness. He brings their last remains to Hastinapur and everyone assumes the Pandavas to be dead. Bheeshm shoots an arrow which bursts a cloud & bring downs the rain.Bheeshm sees the burnt weapons of the Pandavas and breaks down. Pandavas start digging the ground but then they realize they need to make it quick & so finally decide to give one final hit to the floor all together. Bheeshm reaches there & gets stunned seeing the palace burning. Arjun comes out with the solution & throws Kunti toward Bheem so that they can take her to the safer side. Arjun remembers the Saraswati story that Krishna has told him & suggests making an escape way beneath the ground but Arjun and Kunti gets caught in the fire.

They are trapped inside the palace with walls melting like hot wax. Pandavas along with Kunti look for way out but get caught in the fire. In Star Plus’s Mahabharat Next Week, Purochan & his sons burn the palace down.
